After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, and a Master’s degree in Linguistics from Cal State Long Beach, Sheryl realized that she wanted to work in an environment where she could share her passion for learning with young children. She began tutoring part time while she went back to school to receive her California Teaching Credential. She has been teaching for 6 years as a full-time classroom teacher in grades TK-5. She enjoys teaching because she loves to watch her students grow and to develop relationships with them based on love and care. She is dedicated to working with parents and the Scholarship Prep team to ensure academic growth and success for her students and all students. She recently went back to school at Cal State Dominguez Hills to earn a Master’s degree in Education and an Administrative Services Credential. Apart from teaching she loves to spend time with her husband and two daughters, Adelena (12) and Lizette (9). They love playing board games, listening to music and dancing!
