Scholarship Prep Teams Claim Two Flag Football Championships

The Scholarship Prep South Bay Dolphins took to the field at Banning Park in the fall, competing in the city flag football league. This opportunity allowed our students to represent our school, build teamwork, and learn valuable life skills such as overcoming adversity. The season kicked off with overwhelming support from families, friends, teachers & South Bay faculty, with over 100 cheering on the sidelines each Saturday.

Coach T’s Dolphins proved that the organization-wide “Lead With Love” philosophy is a winning solution, with teams claiming two out of three championships from the three divisions. Congratulations to our winning TK-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th teams! In all, four out of five Scholarship Prep teams made it to the finals.

The excitement from weekend games found its way onto campus, with Dolphin pride soaring at school pep rallies, where players wore their football jerseys. Coach T. distributed the highly anticipated championship trophies to players during this January’s semester awards, acknowledging their outstanding efforts on the field.

Athletics are a significant component of the educational program here at Scholarship Prep. Along with the additional recreational league opportunities Coach T. has discovered for our South Bay campus, all Scholarship Prep students can explore their interests in soccer or basketball through our signature electives program. SP’s athletic coaches provide high-quality skills-based training during the school day free of charge while students learn to maintain a healthy body, understand proper nutrition, and reap the physiological benefits of fitness.
