On the heels of National Voter Registration Day and in the spirit of promoting civic engagement, Scholarship Prep’s South Bay campus is partnering with Los Angeles County to use its facilities as a polling location in the upcoming November 3rd election. Over the course of two weeks, officials will use the school’s gymnasium to support the South Bay community by accepting ballots, allowing for early in-person voting, and voting on election day.

Principal of Scholarship Prep South Bay, Harris Luu, remarked, “We have an incredible opportunity to be part of the election process, and serve as a resource for our community.” Scholarship Prep encourages all families and community members to check their registration status or register to vote ahead of the November 3rd election to take part in the democratic process.

Founded in 2015, Scholarship Prep is a network of California public charter schools providing a collegiate-inspired education to underserved communities. The organization strives to close the achievement gap for all students through rigorous academics, unique student supports, and intensive staff development.
