PRINCIPAL
Mrs. Allison Vann
Mrs. Allison Vann is entering her fifth year as Principal of Scholarship Prep South Bay and has over 20 years of experience in education, charter leadership, and student support. Before becoming Principal, she served as an Intervention Teacher at Scholarship Prep. A recognized expert in trauma-informed education, she has presented at statewide conferences and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. Outside of work, she is a devoted wife and mother of four, enjoying family time and supporting her children’s athletic pursuits. She is deeply invested in serving the community, building strong relationships with families, and leading with integrity, vision, and heart.

Artist Brian Peterson landed in Wilmington this month and turned Scholarship Prep South Bay into a gigantic art exhibit in less than a week.

On a recent afternoon at Scholarship Prep South Bay, more than 500 Scholars and family members came together for Be Well! Be Wild!, a campus-wide wellness event featuring community partners, carnival games, a mobile STEM lab, and a special awards ceremony honoring Scholars from the Jr. and Tiny Sparks basketball programs. This is what a community school looks like in action.

Vision To Learn's mobile optometry clinic visited our campus and provided free vision screenings for our TK-8 Scholars. Students identified as needing further care received free eye exams on site, and those with prescriptions received free glasses through DIFF Eyewear. No appointments. No transportation. No cost to families.

Every morning, before the first lesson begins, something important happens in Scholarship Prep classrooms across Southern California. Teachers greet Scholars by name at the door. Students settle in. And Morning Meeting begins.
